Constellation Software's stars align to Agribusiness, Commodity Trading and Microsoft solution delivery.


Constellation Software Inc ("CSI"), one of Canada's largest and fastest growing vertical market software vendors announces the acquisition of 2K Technology Group Ltd comprised of Cal Software Ltd ("Cal") and Kinross Software Ltd ("KSL"), market-leading providers of agribusiness software solutions. Headquartered in Toronto and listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, Constellation specialises in acquiring and developing public and private vertical market software companies.

The acquisition will give CSI a commanding platform in the agribusiness and commodity trading software verticals in the UK, as well as the ability to develop the Microsoft and Progress solution sales under Cal's Isonic brand.

Recognising the individuality, breadth and success of each company's product portfolio, both Cal and KSL will retain the key brand differentiators that make them successful and recognisable by their respective customers. CSI will provide Cal and KSL with an increased depth of resource and the ability to grow, whilst continuing to invest in their products and service capability.
